Canadian Jazz Guitarist Mark Ucci has emerged as one of the finest jazz artists here in Canada and Internationally.
Mark has called the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) his home for the past 20 years where he is busy working as a leader with his own trio and as a sideman for various mainstream
ensembles. Mark's
most important musical influences include Ed Bickert, Oscar Peterson, Sonny Rollins, Bill Evans and Charlie Parker.
From 1989 - 1991 Mark studied at Mohawk College with Reg Schwager which he
completed majoring in Jazz Performance.
Mark has just released his second CD named after the great standard " I Didn't Know What Time It Was".
This is a live studio recording comprised entirely of choice jazz standards. This recording also features Acoustic Bassists Mark Cashion, and the jazz drummer sideman Joel Haynes. (see CD info./sound -to hear this recording).
In 1998 Mark released his debut CD titled "Moment To Moment" this is also a live studio performance which includes Clark Johnston
- Acoustic Bass and Anthony Michelli- Drums.
